The Israel Society for Radiation Protection

The Israel Society for Radiation Protection is a non-profit organization of professionals who work or take interest in fields related to health physics and ionizing and non-ionizing radiation protection. The society consists of physicists, physicians, biologists, engineers and technicians. Among the society's goals are the promotion and fostering of the science of radiation protection as a profession, and distribution of knowledge in radiation protection and related fields such as: radiation detection and measurement, dosimetry, radiobiology, standardization and legislation, means of radiation protection, biological effects of radiation, and treatment of radiation induced injuries. The society currently numbers in around 140 members and is associated to the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA). The society welcomes any individual with an academic degree who takes interest in radiation protection or individuals working in one of the fields related to radiation protection.
